Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Head of Data Operations to lead and scale our healthcare data operations function. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, security, and efficiency of the healthcare data that powers our population health platform.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, combining in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end healthcare data operations across clinical, claims, patient, and operational datasets.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, availability, security, and compliance.
- Oversee data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery processes.
- Manage and optimize ETL workflows and data pipelines.
- Lead healthcare data integrations using standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Drive automation and operational efficiency using AI-enabled and DataOps tools.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve critical data issues impacting customers and business operations.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Data Operations team.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Customer Success teams.
- Establish operational KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and data platform investments.
- Provide leadership with actionable reporting, insights, and operational recommendations.
Preferred Technology
Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- ETL tools and frameworks
- Apache Airflow
- Data quality and monitoring solutions
- Data warehousing and reporting platforms
- Healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
- Python for automation, workflow optimization, data validation, operational monitoring, incident management, and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Operations, Data Engineering, Database Operations, or related roles.
- Proven experience leading and scaling technical teams.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, ETL processes, and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and operational planning.
- Familiarity with healthcare data, EHR systems, claims processing, and interoperability standards (HL7/FHIR) is highly desirable.
- Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare services, or SaaS environments is preferred.
