About the Role


We are building a data-driven growth engine to scale our multi-brand business from ₹100 Cr to ₹1000 Cr+.


We are looking for a business-first data leader who can turn messy data into sharp business decisions across marketing, product, content, CRM, inventory, finance, and customer retention.


This is not a pure dashboard role.

This is not an academic machine-learning role.

This is a growth, profitability, and decision-intelligence role.


You will own the data system that helps leadership answer:


* Which customers are most profitable?

* Which ad channels deserve more capital?

* Which products and SKUs should we scale or kill?

* Which content topics convert into revenue?

* Which CRM journeys increase repeat purchase?

* Which astrologers/experts/creators drive trust and retention?

* Where are we wasting money?

* Where should we double down?


Your job is to build the company’s single source of truth and convert data into decisions that improve revenue, margins, CAC payback, LTV, repeat purchase, and cash efficiency.



Key Responsibilities


1. Build the CEO Growth Dashboard


Create and own a weekly decision dashboard covering:


* Revenue

* Gross margin

* Contribution margin

* CAC

* Blended CAC

* Channel-wise CAC

* 30/60/90-day LTV

* CAC payback

* AOV

* Repeat purchase rate

* Refund rate

* Product/category profitability

* Inventory ageing

* Content-to-revenue

* CRM performance

* Expert/consultant performance


The dashboard should not just show numbers. It should guide decisions on what to scale, cut, test, or fix.



2. Create a Single Source of Truth


Unify data across:


* Website/app

* Shopify/custom e-commerce platform

* Meta Ads

* Google Ads

* YouTube

* Instagram

* WhatsApp CRM

* Email/SMS/push tools

* Payment gateway

* Inventory/ERP

* Accounting/finance

* Consultation/service platform

* Content platforms


You will define clean logic for:


* Revenue

* Refunds

* Discounts

* CAC

* Gross margin

* Contribution margin

* Customer identity

* Product/SKU mapping

* Campaign/source attribution



3. Own Growth Analytics


Help marketing and growth teams make better decisions using:


* Channel profitability analysis

* Campaign-level CAC and payback

* Cohort LTV analysis

* Creative performance by customer quality

* Funnel drop-off analysis

* Landing page performance

* Attribution and incrementality thinking

* Budget reallocation insights


You should be able to tell us which channels are bringing profitable customers, not just traffic or vanity ROAS.



4. Own Customer and Retention Analytics


Build customer intelligence around:


* High-LTV segments

* Low-quality customer segments

* Repeat purchase behavior

* Churn risk

* First-purchase cohort performance

* Next-best-product opportunities

* WhatsApp/email journey performance

* Subscription and membership behavior


You will help us move from generic campaigns to behavior-based personalization.



5. Own Product and SKU Profitability


Work with product, e-commerce, and finance teams to identify:


* High-margin products

* Low-margin products

* Dead stock

* Fast-moving SKUs

* Stockout risks

* Bundle opportunities

* Festival demand patterns

* Return/refund issues

* Contribution margin by SKU/category


The goal is to scale profitable products, not just high-revenue products.



6. Own Content-to-Revenue Analytics


For our astrology, spirituality, and content brands, you will connect content performance to business outcomes.


Track:


* Revenue per 1,000 views

* Lead conversion by content topic

* Paid conversion by topic

* Creator-wise revenue

* Topic-wise LTV

* Consultation bookings by content type

* Organic vs paid content impact


We do not want to optimize only for views. We want to optimize for revenue, intent, trust, and repeat purchase.



7. Build Expert / Astrologer / Consultant Scorecards


If relevant to the brand, you will help build performance scorecards for experts and service providers.


Metrics may include:


* Booking conversion

* Repeat consultation rate

* Average session value

* Refund rate

* Complaint rate

* Ratings/NPS

* Utilization

* Problem-category fit


This will help improve lead allocation, pricing, quality control, and customer experience.



8. Support Forecasting and CFO Analytics


Help leadership improve planning around:


* Revenue forecasting

* Demand forecasting

* Inventory forecasting

* Cash flow visibility

* Working capital

* Category-level P&L

* Channel-level profitability

* Customer acquisition planning


The role should support both growth and financial discipline.



What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days


First 30 Days


* Complete data audit

* Identify tracking gaps

* Define metric dictionary

* Map all major data sources

* Fix core revenue, CAC, and customer identity logic

* Create first version of CEO dashboard


First 60 Days


* Launch cohort LTV/CAC analysis

* Launch channel profitability report

* Launch product/category contribution report

* Identify best and worst customer segments

* Identify highest-payback acquisition channels

* Identify major data quality issues


First 90 Days


* CEO growth dashboard fully live

* Weekly data-driven growth review running

* Marketing budget reallocation insights available

* Product/SKU scale-kill list created

* Content-to-revenue report live

* CRM segmentation opportunities identified

* First set of retention and personalization experiments launched



Required Skills


You should be strong in:


* SQL

* Excel/Google Sheets

* BI tools: Power BI, Looker, Metabase, Tableau, or similar

* GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar product analytics tools

* Marketing analytics

* Cohort analysis

* Funnel analysis

* LTV/CAC analysis

* Customer segmentation

* Dashboard design

* Data storytelling

* Business problem solving


Good to have:


* Python

* dbt

* BigQuery / Snowflake / Redshift

* Airbyte / Fivetran

* CRM tools like WebEngage, MoEngage, CleverTap, Braze

* E-commerce analytics

* Marketplace/service analytics

* Inventory and finance analytics

* Basic machine learning understanding

What We Are Not Looking For


This role is not for someone who:


* Only wants to build dashboards

* Only understands academic data science

* Talks about AI before fixing basic data quality

* Cannot connect data to revenue, margin, or cash flow

* Needs perfect data before making progress

* Produces reports but no business recommendations

* Optimizes for clicks, views, or ROAS without understanding profit
