About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join a fast-growing academic and learning design team. The role is focused on creating inspiring, student-centered learning experiences across digital, blended, and face-to-face formats. You will collaborate closely with faculty subject matter experts, learning technologists, and media producers to develop high-quality courses that enhance engagement, retention, and learning outcomes.
As an Instructional Designer, you will ensure courses are instructionally valid, pedagogically sound, and aligned with program outcomes. You will play a critical role in shaping how learners interact with content and in using technology to maximize instructional effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop instructionally valid content for digital, blended, and face-to-face delivery in consultation with faculty experts.
- Ensure course designs are tailored to adult learners, applying instructional design best practices and principles of online learning.
- Align program outcomes, course competencies, assessments, and learning activities to optimize learner mastery.
- Manage multiple course development projects, ensuring timely delivery of course content.
- Design and integrate instructional media, including videos, simulations, and interactive elements, to enhance engagement and motivation.
- Conduct research on emerging learning technologies and methodologies to improve course design and learner outcomes.
- Write clear and effective instructional text, audio/video scripts, and storyboards for multimedia learning experiences.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain quality and consistency across all courses.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Proven experience in instructional design, teaching, training, or curriculum development.
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, online learning, and instructional design theories.
- Proficiency in Articulate 360, Canvas, SharePoint, MS Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of web-based learning standards (SCORM, xAPI) and interactive instruction design.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience with quality assurance in e-learning.
- Creative mindset with strong visualization and storyboarding skills.
- Experience in large or reputed organizations, including roles as a trainer or instructional content developer.
- Background in management or technical fields (excluding Civil/Mechanical) is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Adaptable and proactive, comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
