We are looking for a Head of Content who can own the narrative of PlayShifu. You are the "Editor-in-Chief" of the brand. You own every word the customer sees, hears, or touches. Your job is to ensure a seamless, high-quality narrative across the entire customer journey - from the first ad they see to the manual they read when they open the box. You must be a master of Dual-Voice writing: speaking to the logic/aspirations of parents and the imagination/wonder of children.
Core Responsibilities
- Scripting & Screenplays: Research and write high-retention scripts for YouTube, social media, and performance ads. You must master the 3-second hook and build well-paced, engaging screenplays.
- Product & Packaging: Own the copy for physical packaging, unboxing experiences, and instruction manuals. You must make "how-to" content as engaging as marketing content.
- E-commerce & Conversion: Write high-converting Amazon listings (titles, bullet points, A+ content) and website landing pages that balance SEO requirements with brand soul.
- Brand Voice & ORM: Craft the one-liners and brand taglines that define us. Oversee the tone of voice for Online Reputation Management (ORM) to ensure our responses to parents are helpful, empathetic, and solution-oriented.
- Thought Leadership: Oversee the blog and long-form content strategy, ensuring it provides genuine value to Millennial/Gen Z parents regarding child development.
- Production Collaboration: Work as a creative partner to the production team to ensure your script translates perfectly to the screen.
- Research-Led Writing: Don’t just write; investigate. Dive into child psychology, educational trends, and competitor content to ensure our scripts, blogs, articles are all backed by data and insight.
Required Skills
- A deep understanding of video pacing, visual storytelling, and audience retention.
- Ability to switch instantly between "Parent-Speak" (trustworthy, educational, clear) and "Kid-Speak" (playful, simple, magical).
- Educational Intuition: You understand how kids learn and how parents buy.
- Proven ability to write copy that drives "Add to Cart" actions on D2C and Amazon platforms.
- Micro-copy Expert: You understand that a single line on a box or a button in an app can define a user's experience.
Qualifications
- 4+ Years in Creative Writing/Copy Leadership: Ideally with experience in EdTech, Media/Entertainment, or Kids’ Brands.
- Execution-First Mindset: You are a "doer" who can write the big scripts yourself while managing a team to handle the high-volume output.
- Portfolio of Versatility: Must show a range of work including video scripts, physical product copy, and digital performance marketing.
- Direct Leadership: Experience managing writers while staying hands-on with the biggest projects.
