The market we are building in

The fractional executive market is one of the fastest-growing segments in the future of work. Senior talent is moving away from full-time roles. Startups are realising they can access board-level expertise on 30, 60, or 90-day outcome-driven engagements, without burning runway on a full-time hire.

FraCXOHire is the AI-powered matching platform for this shift. We match vetted fractional CXOs to startups that need senior leadership now, not in six months. We have live placements, paying customers, and a pipeline that needs someone who can own the entire revenue motion from first conversation to close.

We are at the inflection point. The window to build the dominant platform in India is open right now.


What you will own

  • End-to-end business development. You source, nurture, and close startup clients who need fractional CXO support. You run the full cycle, not a piece of it.
  • Revenue strategy. You sit at the founding team table. You shape how we price, position, and go to market, not just execute someone else's plan.
  • Startup ecosystem relationships. You are present in the communities where founders, HR leaders, and talent heads are already having the conversations we need to be part of.
  • Partnerships. You build structural relationships with HR tech platforms, recruiting firms, accelerators, and VC networks that create an inbound flywheel.
  • Market intelligence. What you hear in the field feeds directly into our product and matching engine.

Compensation

  • Equity + ESOP split. Discussed at the offer stage based on scope and commitment.
  • No salary. Not deferred. Not conditional. Simply not part of this role for now.

Your path here

  • Head of Business Development → VP Business Development → Chief Business Officer
  • The CBO title is not honorary. It represents full ownership of revenue, partnerships, and go-to-market as we scale from pilot to platform.

Non-negotiable requirements

These are not preferences. If you do not meet these, this is not the right role.

  • An active, warm network inside the startup ecosystem, specifically in HR, people operations, talent, and recruiting. Not contacts you once met. People who will take your call today.
  • Demonstrated experience selling into startups. You know how founders make buying decisions and how to close when budgets are tight.
  • Genuine fluency in the fractional, interim, or on-demand talent space. You have worked in it, hired in it, or sold in it.
  • Financial stability to operate without a salary while equity vests. This is not a role for someone testing whether they can handle early-stage risk.
  • Founder-level drive. You set your own targets and create your own opportunities. You operate like a co-builder, because that is what this is.
  • Based in India or operationally aligned with the Indian startup ecosystem.


Why now

The fractional market in India is three to four years behind the US and UK. The infrastructure layer has not been built yet. We are building it now, and this role is at the centre of that.

You would not be joining a company that already has it figured out. You would be joining two founders mid-build as the third person at the table. The equity reflects that. The risk and the upside both do.
