Job Title:Head – Business Development, Branding, Collaborations & Revenue
Reporting To:Vice President
Role Objective:To build, scale, and monetize the institution as a multi-revenue, high-impact brand by driving:
- Strategic partnerships
- Market positioning
- New revenue verticals
- Industry & global collaborations
This role is accountable for top-line growth, revenue diversification, and brand power — not just admissions.
Core MissionTransform the institution from a
degree provider → revenue-generating education ecosystemKey Responsibilities1. Revenue Generation (Primary Ownership)- Own total revenue targets across:
- Admissions (PUC, UG, PG)
- Certifications & short-term programs
- Online courses (LMS)
- Corporate training
- Events, workshops, fests
- Studio/media/commercial services (if applicable)
- Create new monetization models
- Drive minimum 30–50% YoY revenue growth
- Identify high-margin revenue streams
2. Strategic Business Development- Identify and close:
- B2B partnerships
- Institutional collaborations
- Sponsorship deals
- Government & grant opportunities
- Build long-term alliances with:
- Corporates
- EdTech companies
- Skill platforms
- Convert partnerships into revenue pipelines
3. Industry Collaborations (Revenue + Placement Linked)- Develop paid collaborations:
- Certification programs with industry
- Sponsored labs / centers
- Industry-led courses
- Bring in:
- Internship pipelines
- Placement partnerships (that also drive admissions)
- Target:
- 50+ active revenue-linked partnerships
4. International Collaborations & Global Revenue- Build alliances with:
- Universities abroad
- International program providers
- Launch:
- Study abroad pathways
- Global immersion programs
- Dual certifications
- Generate premium revenue offerings
- Position brand as globally connected
5. Branding & Market Positioning (Revenue-Focused Branding)- Lead complete brand growth strategy
- Ensure branding directly supports:
- Lead generation
- Revenue conversion
- Drive:
- Digital marketing campaigns (ROI-focused)
- High-impact storytelling (placements, success stories)
- Build a premium, aspirational brand
6. New Business Vertical CreationLaunch and scale new verticals such as:
- School of Music / Media / Creative Tech
- Skill academies (AI, Analytics, Aviation, etc.)
- Weekend & executive programs
- Online learning platforms
- Corporate upskilling divisions
- Each vertical must be self-sustaining & profitable
7. Sales Funnel & Conversion Systems- Build high-performance systems for:
- Lead generation
- Lead nurturing
- Conversion
- Optimize:
- Cost per lead (CPL)
- Cost per acquisition (CPA)
- Work closely with:
- Admissions team
- Telecallers
- Marketing
8. Team Leadership & Growth Culture- Lead cross-functional teams:
- Marketing
- Admissions
- Partnerships
- Build a target-driven revenue culture
- Set:
- Daily revenue targets
- Weekly performance reviews
- Monthly growth dashboards
9. Data, Analytics & ROI Ownership- Track:
- Revenue per channel
- ROI per campaign

- Optimize budgets based on performance
10. Institutional Growth & NAAC Alignment- Align initiatives with:
- NAAC (Industry connect, innovation, outreach)
- Build:

Key KPIs Revenue- Total revenue generated (monthly / yearly)
- Revenue diversification (% from non-admission sources)
- Revenue per program / vertical

Business Development- Number of revenue-generating partnerships
- Value of deals closed
- Repeat business / renewals
Branding- Lead-to-revenue conversion rate
- Digital ROI
- Brand engagement translating to revenue
Admissions (Secondary KPI)- Revenue per admission
- Conversion rates
- High-value program enrollments
Required Profile
Experience- 5-7+ years in
- Business development / revenue roles
- Education / EdTech / training / services industry
- Proven ability to:
- Build revenue from scratch
- Close high-value partnerships
