Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth for flexible packaging inks products by developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and achieving revenue and profitability targets. The role demands strong technical understanding of ink systems and application knowledge in flexible packaging Ink segments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve sales targets for flexible packaging inks across assigned territories.
- Identify and develop new customers in flexible packaging ink segments.
- Manage and grow business with existing customers through regular visits, relationship building, and value-added solutions.
- Understand customer needs, suggest suitable ink products, and coordinate trials, approvals, and technical support.
2. Market Expansion & Strategy
- Explore new market segments such as food packaging, labels, and digital substrates.
- Conduct competitor analysis, pricing benchmarking, and market intelligence reporting.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for market penetration and volume growth.
- Work with the marketing team for promotional activities, exhibitions, and product launches.
3. Technical Support & Coordination
- Liaise with the technical service and R&D teams for resolving product issues or developing customized solutions.
- Ensure smooth trials, product performance validation, and feedback collection.
- Educate customers about new products, features, and technical advantages.
4. Commercial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts within approved guidelines.
- Ensure timely collections and credit control management.
- Submit periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
- Maintain accurate data on sales pipeline, inquiries, and customer interactions in CRM systems.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of flexible packaging inks, solvent-based inks & water-based inks.
- Understanding of printing processes such as gravure, flexographic, and digital inkjet.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Business development mindset with technical selling capability.
Qualification & Experience:
🎓 Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Printing Technology, or Chemical Engineering preferred. MBA (Marketing) desirable.
💼 Experience: 18-25 years in sales of printing inks, coatings, or packaging materials, preferably in flexible packaging segments.
🏭 Industry Preference: Printing Inks / Packaging industry.
