We are hiring for one of our client and the location for job is Bangalore.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and relationship-driven Regional Head – South India to lead and
expand our business franchise across the southern markets, with a strong strategic focus on the
fintech ecosystem in Bengaluru.
The role will be responsible for driving growth across multiple business verticals including:
• Equity Cash Market
• Equity Derivatives
• Commodities
• Mutual Fund Distribution Ecosystem
• Mainboard Listings
• SME Listings
The candidate will lead the South India regional team and build deep engagement with brokers,
fintech platforms, merchant bankers, corporate mutual fund distributors, institutions, and
listed/unlisted corporates to accelerate market share, business volumes, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Growth & Market Expansion
• Drive business growth and market share across South India for:
o Equity Cash Segment
o Equity Derivatives
o Commodities
o Mutual Fund Platforms and Distribution
o SME Listings
o Mainboard Listings
• Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with organizational growth
objectives.
• Identify emerging opportunities within the fintech, broking, wealth-tech, and capital markets
ecosystem.
INTERNAL
Relationship Management
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with:
o Large broking houses
o Discount brokers and fintech platforms
o Merchant bankers
o Wealth management firms
o Corporate mutual fund distributors
o Institutional participants
o Listed and unlisted companies
• Engage with key market intermediaries to enhance:
o Trading volumes
o Market participation
o Listing pipeline
o Mutual fund transaction flows
• Act as the organization’s strategic representative in the South India market.
Fintech & Strategic Partnerships
• Develop deep engagement within the fintech ecosystem, particularly in Bengaluru.
• Collaborate with fintech partners to drive:
o Retail participation
o Digital transaction growth
o Platform integrations
o Mutual fund distribution expansion
• Identify new-age technology-led distribution opportunities.
Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and manage the South India regional business development team.
• Establish strong performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability.
• Drive regional planning, pipeline management, and execution discipline.
Listings & Issuer Engagement
• Drive SME and Mainboard listing business across South India.
• Build relationships with:
o Merchant bankers
o Investment bankers
o CFOs
o Promoters
o Advisors and ecosystem partners
• Strengthen regional issuer outreach and listing pipeline generation.
INTERNAL
Stakeholder Engagement & Market Intelligence
• Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and market events.
• Provide insights on:
o Competitive developments
o Regulatory trends
o Regional market opportunities
o Customer behavior and product adoption
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in:
o Capital markets
o Exchange ecosystem
o Broking industry
o Fintech partnerships
o Wealth management
o Mutual fund distribution
o Institutional or regional sales leadership
• Strong exposure to South India markets and business networks.
• Prior experience managing regional sales/business development teams preferred.
Educational Qualification
• MBA / PGDM from a premier business school preferred.
• Additional certifications in capital markets, mutual funds, or financial services would be an
advantage.
