Role: Head of Business Development & Operations (COO-Track)
Location: Vikhroli West, Mumbai (Hybrid)

About the Role
Plotcraft is seeking a Head of Business Development & Operations to serve as the commercial and
operational architect of the company’s growth engine. This role blends revenue leadership, client strategy,
delivery excellence, and internal operating governance.
You will own top-line growth, margin health, client success, and organizational execution, building scalable
systems, performance discipline, and a market-leading commercial footprint.
This is a build-and-scale role, ideal for a leader who thrives in early-stage environments, brings structure
without bureaucracy, and can convert creative excellence into predictable revenue and operational
leverage.
Strategic Accountabilities
Revenue & Growth Leadership
• Own the end-to-end revenue engine — lead generation, pipeline management, deal
structuring, closure, renewals, and account expansion
• Define and execute go-to-market strategy across enterprise, mid-market, and high-growth
brand segments
• Build strategic partnerships, referral networks, and alliance channels to accelerate deal
velocity
• Drive forecasting, revenue dashboards, and board-level reporting
Client Strategy & Commercial Excellence
• Act as senior commercial advisor to key accounts and founders on brand, digital, and growth
strategy
• Structure retainers, SOWs, pricing models, and margin frameworks to balance growth and
profitability
• Lead complex negotiations and multi-stakeholder enterprise engagements
• Own client success, retention, and lifetime value growth
Operations & Delivery Governance
• Build and run the agency’s operating cadence — weekly performance reviews, delivery
health, utilization, and quality metrics
• Design scalable delivery models across creative, performance marketing, content, and digital
strategy teams
• Implement workflow systems, SLAs, and quality assurance frameworks
• Own cross-functional coordination between BD, Design, Media, Strategy, and Account
Management
Organization & Leadership Architecture
• Build and mentor high-performance leadership layers across Business Development,
Operations, and Client Servicing
• Drive performance management, incentive structures, and productivity frameworks
• Partner with the Founder on culture, leadership development, and succession planning
• Lead hiring strategy for revenue and delivery-critical roles
Financial & Business Governance
• Own P&L visibility — revenue, gross margins, cost efficiency, and capacity planning
• Drive commercial discipline across billing cycles, collections, and cash-flow predictability
• Support business planning, annual operating plans, and growth investment decisions
What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)
• Predictable, multi-quarter revenue pipeline with strong close ratios
• Defined client portfolio strategy with enterprise and marquee brand accounts
• Clear operating rhythm, performance dashboards, and leadership governance model
• High delivery utilization, strong margins, and high client retention
• A scalable organization ready for regional expansion or investment readiness
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
• 7–12+ years of leadership experience in digital marketing, creative agencies, media or brand
consulting
• Proven track record of owning revenue + operations + client success simultaneously
• Experience building agencies or business units from early-stage to scale
• Strong exposure to enterprise clients, retainers, and multi-market delivery models
Leadership & Capability
• Commercially sharp with strong financial acumen and deal structuring capability
• Strategic operator who can move between boardroom strategy and execution floor discipline
• Exceptional stakeholder presence with CXOs, founders, and senior marketing leaders
• Builder mindset — systems, teams, processes, and performance culture

Compensation & Growth
• Competitive leadership compensation comprising Fixed Pay, Performance-Linked Variable, and
Equity Participation (up to 4%), subject to achievement of defined performance and tenure
milestones (post 12 months)
• Clear progression pathway to a formal Chief Operating Officer (COO) role, aligned to business
scale, governance maturity, and leadership impact
• Direct strategic involvement with the Founder and Board on growth strategy, capital planning,
