Role Overview
The Business Development Head will be responsible for driving the company’s overall growth strategy by aligning sales, marketing, branding, and training initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep experience in the direct selling industry, who can manage P&L, build high-performing teams, and deliver aggressive business expansion and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Sales Leadership
- Drive achievement of annual and quarterly sales targets across regions.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand customer base and increase market penetration.
- Strengthen the direct selling network through scalable growth models.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions to ensure target achievement
2. Marketing & Brand Strategy
- Lead end-to-end branding initiatives to enhance visibility and positioning of AMC India.
- Oversee PR strategies, media relations, and brand communications.
- Drive impactful digital marketing campaigns for lead generation and brand engagement.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels (online & offline).
3. Training & Capability Building
- Design and implement structured training programs for sales teams and leaders.
- Enable teams with product knowledge, selling skills, and customer engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership to build a strong culture of demo based selling.
4. P&L Management
- Own and manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the business unit.
- Optimize costs while maximizing revenue and profitability.
- Track financial performance, budgets, and ROI on marketing and sales initiatives.
5. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop long-term business strategies aligned with company vision.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion markets.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine strategies.
6. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Training).
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of business plans.
- Build a high-performance, result-oriented culture across the organization.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a Sales, Business Development / Leadership role within a Direct Selling organization.
- Strong exposure to branding, PR, digital marketing, and sales strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in P&L management and revenue growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Multilingual capability – English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- 10–15+ years of experience in direct selling / FMCG / consumer durable sectors
- Strong understanding of premium product positioning and experiential selling
- Passion for building teams and driving sustainable growth
- Age between 40 to 50 years
