Head of AI Engineering - Full Time role in Yangon Myanmar

The Opportunity
Our client is a leading diversified business group with operations across Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Distribution, Supply Chain, Trading and Industrial businesses. As the organisation accelerates its digital transformation journey, it is seeking an experienced Head of AI Engineering to establish and lead enterprise-wide AI capabilities.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building scalable AI platforms, developing production-grade AI solutions, and driving AI adoption across multiple business units. The successful candidate will combine deep software engineering expertise with practical experience delivering AI products that create measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise AI engineering strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing AI Engineering team comprising AI Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers and Platform Engineers.
- Design, develop and deploy production-grade AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents and Agentic AI frameworks.
- Establish scalable AI platforms, reusable services and engineering standards to support enterprise-wide AI adoption.
- Design robust software architectures capable of supporting secure, reliable and scalable AI solutions.
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other business applications.
- Work closely with business leaders to identify, prioritise and deliver high-impact AI use cases across Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Sales, Human Resources, Customer Service and Supply Chain.
- Lead AI platform deployment across cloud environments using modern DevOps and containerisation technologies.
- Develop APIs and enterprise integration frameworks enabling AI applications to interact securely with internal systems.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools and frameworks, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of AI innovation.
- Establish governance, security, monitoring and operational standards for enterprise AI solutions.
- Mentor engineering teams and foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence and continuous learning.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading Software Engineering and AI Engineering teams.
- Minimum 15 years of experience - Experience working with a group will be preferred
- Strong background in software architecture and enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI products into production environments.
- Strong experience with:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- AI Agents and Agentic AI frameworks
- Prompt Engineering and AI orchestration
- Excellent programming experience with Python and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) and modern AI development frameworks.
- Experience integrating AI solutions with ERP, CRM, SCM, Manufacturing and other enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing secure, scalable and highly available AI platforms.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Integrate AI capabilities into core business systems and workflows.
- Build a scalable AI engineering team and establish engineering best practices across the organisation.
- Create a roadmap for enterprise AI adoption and continuous innovation.
