We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Head of Actuarial & Transformation to lead 360F's Agentic Insurance Product Factory development & delivery. This is a pivotal leadership role that sits at the intersection of traditional actuarial rigour and AI-driven innovation. You will be the primary actuarial leader within 360F responsible for shaping pricing frameworks, product analytics, risk modelling, and actuarial governance across our life, health, and investment product ecosystem for our clients.
As Head of Actuarial & Transformation, you will work closely with product managers, client delivery teams, the AI Lab, and enterprise clients including insurance carriers, bancassurance institutions, and financial advisory firms to ensure that actuarial insights power better product design, pricing accuracy, and client financial wellness outcomes. You will also play a key role in integrating AI and machine learning capabilities into actuarial workflows, positioning 360F at the frontier of data-driven insurance innovation in Asia.
This role demands the maturity to engage with insurance regulators and C-suite client stakeholders on complex actuarial matters, alongside the technical depth to review models, challenge assumptions, and lead a high-performing actuarial team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Actuarial Leadership & Strategy
• Define and own 360F's actuarial strategy, methodology standards, and governance framework across all product lines and client engagements.
• Serve as the primary actuarial leader for the organisation providing leadership, direction, and solutions to our clients.
• Partner with the executive team to incorporate actuarial insights into product strategy, market expansion planning, and client solution design.
• Build and grow a high-performing actuarial team recruiting, mentoring, and developing modern actuarial talent adapted to new ways of working with AI first approach.
• Represent 360F's actuarial capabilities in client engagements, and partner activities across South East Asia, Middle East & Africa.
Product Pricing & Development
• Lead the design, development, and validation of pricing models for life, health, investment-linked, and protection insurance products across APAC markets adapted with AI development and new ways of agentic working.
• Collaborate with product managers and client teams to translate market needs into actuarially sound product structures, benefit designs, and premium rate schedules.
• Support in enterprise grade development of AI Agentic Insurance Product Factory working very closely with Solution architects, AI leads, Tech team, Business team, bring your expertise in product design, pricing and proposition.
•Adapt the built of the product for our various clients as per their product development processes, geography, regulation, market.
AI-Augmented Actuarial Innovation
• Champion the integration of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics into actuarial workflows.
• Collaborate with the AI Lab team to co-develop AI-powered actuarial tools such as LLM-assisted policy document analysis, and GenAI-assisted actuarial reporting.
• Evaluate and validate AI/ML models used in risk assessment and pricing, ensuring outputs are explainable, fair, auditable, and compliant with MAS FEAT principles and emerging AI governance standards.
• Drive the modernisation of actuarial tooling transitioning from legacy spreadsheet-based models to scalable, actuarial platforms using Python and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Stay at the forefront of actuarial innovation monitoring developments in parametric insurance, usage-based products, embedded insurance, and digital underwriting that are relevant to 360F's clients.
Client Engagement & Advisory
•Act as a senior actuarial advisor to 360F's insurance carrier, bancassurance, and financial advisory clients providing expert guidance on product design, pricing strategy, regulatory compliance, and actuarial best practices.
• Lead actuarial-focused client workshops, solution design sessions, and executive briefings translating complex actuarial concepts into clear business insights for non-actuarial stakeholders.
• Support the sales and solutions team in pre-sales engagements where actuarial credibility and domain expertise are key differentiators.
• Contribute to the development of 360F's financial wellness and needs analysis frameworks ensuring they are underpinned by rigorous, evidence-based actuarial assumptions.
REQUIREMENTS
• Fellow or Associate of a recognised actuarial professional body, FSA, FIA, FIAA, FASM, or equivalent is strongly preferred. Candidates who are nearly qualified with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 12 years of actuarial experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role, ideally within life insurance, health insurance, or a financial advisory/insurtech environment in Asia.
• Strong technical grounding in actuarial pricing, reserving, and valuation for life, health, and investment-linked products across multiple APAC markets.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS 17 includes its implications for product design, liability measurement, profit recognition, and financial reporting for insurance clients.
• Familiarity with APAC regulatory frameworks including MAS RBC2 (Singapore), BNM RBC (Malaysia), OIC (Thailand), and an understanding of how local insurance regulations shape product and pricing decisions.
• Experience in applying machine learning and advanced statistical techniques to actuarial problems including GLMs, gradient boosting, survival models, and neural networks for pricing and claims analytics.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in modern actuarial practice, Python or R, with the ability to build, test, and document actuarial models in code rather than spreadsheets.
• Strong grasp of reinsurance structures, risk transfer mechanisms, and their actuarial implications for product design and financial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to govern, validate, and challenge actuarial models including AI/ML-based models with sound professional judgment and adherence to actuarial standards of practice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to explain actuarial findings, assumptions, and recommendations to non-actuarial executives, regulators, and clients with clarity and confidence.
• Experience leading and developing actuarial teams, including setting professional development goals, reviewing work, and building a culture of rigour and continuous improvement.
