Role Intent
Lead the 3D design and visualisation function across projects, translating creative concepts into high impact, production aware spatial environments for events, installations, exhibitions, and brand experiences. Drive design quality, realism, and innovation across all 3D outputs while mentoring the team and working closely with creative, account, and production functions.
Your Growth Milestones
In 3 Months
- Understand MAG’s creative language, design sensibility, and project expectations
- Take ownership of the 3D output across ongoing pitches and live projects
- Work closely with creative, account, and production teams to shape visual direction from brief to render
- Review and elevate render quality across materials, lighting, scale, and detailing
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, output consistency, and team efficiency
In 6 Months
- Lead visualisation for multiple large scale projects simultaneously
- Drive stronger design thinking and spatial storytelling across pitches and presentations
- Set quality benchmarks for realism, detailing, and presentation across the 3D team
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure all concepts are aligned with execution feasibility
- Guide and mentor junior visualisers and designers, building stronger team capability
In 12 Months — Become the Design Lead for 3D
- Establish a strong and ownable 3D visual language across the company’s experiential work
- Lead the 3D team across concept development, reviews, and final output delivery
- Influence creative direction at an early stage of ideation, not just at render stage
- Strengthen the integration between design intent and production realities
- Build a high performing 3D function that supports pitches, key accounts, and flagship projects at scale
What You’ll Do
- Lead the creation of photorealistic 3D renders for events, installations, stages, environments, and brand experiences
- Translate creative ideas, sketches, references, and CAD drawings into strong spatial concepts and visual outputs
- Oversee lighting, textures, materials, composition, and detailing across all renders
- Partner with Creative Directors and account teams to develop compelling pitch visuals and presentation assets
- Ensure all design outputs are aligned with technical feasibility, fabrication logic, and execution realities
- Review, refine, and approve work produced by junior and mid level 3D designers
- Manage timelines, priorities, and quality across multiple concurrent projects
- Contribute to stronger design systems, workflows, and visual standards within the team
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in 3D visualisation, spatial design, or experiential design
- Strong experience in events, exhibitions, retail environments, installations, or branded spaces
- Proficiency in 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW
- Strong understanding of CAD drawings, spatial planning, scale, and materiality
- Proven ability to create high quality, photorealistic visualisations with strong design sensibility
- Ability to lead a team, give clear feedback, and drive quality across projects
- Strong understanding of production feasibility, fabrication, and real world execution
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across creative, account, and production teams
- A strong eye for detail, composition, design language, and visual storytelling
