Role Description The Head NPD (New Product Development) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end new product development initiatives, from feasibility to PPAP lot. The Head NPD will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, sales, and supply chain to align product development with customer requirements, market trends, and company strategy. Daily activities include managing project timelines, resource allocation, risk assessment, and cost optimization, while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role also involves driving continuous improvement in NPD processes, fostering innovation, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Product Strategy and Product Management skills to define product roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and align new products with business goals.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Construction/Mining/Agriculture Equipment Aggregates product development.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate feasibility and cost, and support informed decision-making.
- Candidates should possess global customer-facing skills to understand market needs, collaborate and support business growth through successful product on time right quality product deliveries.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, ideally with experience in automotive or heavy fabrication industries.
- Proven experience leading NPD teams, managing complex projects, and working with cross-functional stakeholders in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with ISO-certified quality systems, tools, jigs, fixtures, and prototyping processes, along with strong communication and leadership skills, is preferred.
