Role Description
We are seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee Marketing and E-Commerce Finance functions. The role will be responsible for driving financial planning, budgeting, profitability analysis, ROI measurement, and business performance management across marketing channels and e-commerce platforms. The incumbent will work closely with Marketing, E-Commerce, Sales, and Leadership teams to maximize returns on investments and support profitable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Marketing and E-Commerce functions.
• Monitor and control marketing spends across digital, ATL, BTL, influencer, branding, and promotional campaigns.
• Evaluate campaign effectiveness through ROI, ROAS, CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), and customer lifetime value analysis.
• Review and analyze profitability across online marketplaces, D2C platforms, and e-commerce channels.
• Develop channel-wise, product-wise, and campaign-wise profitability reports.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements for Marketing and E-Commerce businesses.
• Analyze sales performance, gross margins, discounts, promotional spends, and contribution margins.
• Partner with Marketing and E-Commerce leadership to optimize budget allocation and improve financial performance.
• Build financial models to evaluate new marketing initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
• Establish MIS dashboards and performance reporting frameworks for senior management.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Support management in strategic planning, annual operating plans, and business reviews.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, reporting standards, and internal policies.
Requirements
• MBA or an equivalent postgraduate/professional qualification from a recognized institution
• 5+ years of experience in Business Finance, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Marketing Finance, or E-Commerce Finance.
• Strong understanding of Marketing ROI, Digital Marketing Metrics, Marketplace Economics, E-Commerce Business Models, P&L Management, and Budgeting.
• Proven experience managing large marketing and promotional budgets.
• Expertise in profitability analysis, forecasting, financial modelling, and business performance management.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI, financial reporting tools, and MIS systems.
• Strong stakeholder management experience with senior leadership teams.
• Prior experience in a Consumer Electronics brand will be highly preferred.
