Role Description The Head Landscape is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading the landscape design and maintenance functions across projects. This role oversees the planning, development, and implementation of landscape design concepts, ensuring they are aligned with project goals, sustainability standards, and Aedium’s design philosophy. Daily activities include coordinating with architects and engineers, supervising gardening and landscape maintenance teams, and managing irrigation and planting schedules. The Head Landscape monitors quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of landscaping work, prepares reports and documentation, and supports client presentations and site reviews. The role also involves mentoring team members, optimizing resource use, and continuously improving landscape practices and standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Landscape Design and Landscaping, including concept development, planting design, and outdoor spatial planning.
- Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Maintenance and Gardening, with experience managing plant health, seasonal upkeep, and on-site horticulture activities.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Irrigation systems, including planning, installation oversight, and efficient water management for varied landscape types.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience leading landscape teams, coordinating with multidisciplinary design and engineering stakeholders, and managing multiple projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly landscape practices, local plant species, and applicable regulations will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on-site and conduct regular site inspections, are essential.
