JOB PURPOSE
Lead HR processes and systems to enable employee lifecycle and act as a strategic partner to business unit leaders; Manage implementation of HR strategy and processes across various departments by ensuring effective manpower productivity, management of talent, HR compliances, learning & development, employee performance and other HR related aspects aimed to enable business growth and achievement of set business objectives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. India Level HR planning and review
- Participate in the business strategy and planning meetings of the India Manufacturing to understand business priorities and derive imperatives for the HR function
- Participate and contribute to HR reviews conducted at various levels, Plant level with Plant HR teams, Cluster & Regional Level with Cluster & Regional Operations & HR Head and functionally with Group CHRO & Corporate HR Head.
2. Talent Management
- Manage deployment of all talent management related corporate initiatives; Take steps to introduce and socialize these at the Manufacturing Region & its Clusters for implementation success, e.g. competency framework, Hi-Pot identification,
- At the Manufacturing Region & its Cluster level, prepare and implement the GET progression plan; Ensure timely review of GETs; Work with corporate HR team and provide input on salary framework, sourcing, stipends, etc.
- Support assessment and evaluation of functions and role holders to determine gap assessment, and share input with corporate HR for design of training programs
3. Learning & Development
- Prepare the broader training and development plan for the Manufacturing Region & its Clusters, including aspects such as plant wise welfare and training programs budgets, IDPs from PMS, TNI, calendar preparation, etc.
- Define the training programs based on business / plant needs and individual development plans from PMS
- Review and finalize the design and content of training programs designed at Manufacturing Region & its Cluster level (largely prepared by Plant and Cluster HR jointly)
- Assess and provide GET training requirements based on quarterly assessments
- Lead execution of various central corporate led training programs, such as, both behavioral and technical, Train the Trainer (TTT) for foundation and advance competencies (designed centrally) and HiPoTs training programs; Ensure effective deployment of central programs through nominations, high attendance, etc.
4. Payroll Management
- Coordinate and oversee resolution of payroll related issues and deviations observed at the Corporate for the Manufacturing Region & its Cluster employees.
5. Industrial Relations
- Contribute to discussions with Group CHRO & Corporate HR Head , Regional Operations Head and ER Head on matters pertaining IR for the Regions, Cluster & its plants to develop IR strategy, productivity linked agreements, review wage settlement surveys, etc. and prepare for negotiations
- Discuss variable pay component, design and position additional incentive/ productivity schemes and negotiate along with ER Head
- Scan, conduct internal / external research and analyze to develop recommendations on collective bargaining agreement and related financials, discuss with ER head for finalization and draft agreement preparation; Participate in negotiations along with ER Head
6. Governance HR audit and compliance
- Respond to queries and data requests on HR processes, systems and practices for customers audits such as 2W / 4W OEM Customers; Ensure compliance and adherence with contractors
- Coordinate to provide data, information and respond to queries for various internal / external statutory auditors
- Collate and report on non-compliance / non-adherence to Head HR India Manufacturing and determine action plan to close open points/ red flags to ensure compliance
- Monitor and enhance the operational index rigor for on time execution and smooth operations e.g. merit increase list, PMS ratings, etc.
- Review to ensure all statutory and compliance related requirements are met on time and accurately, e.g. upload of licenses by the plant HR, updates on Compliance Management System (CMS), salary updates on contract labour management system, etc.
- Review, collate and share the monthly compliance review report to the employee relations team
7. Team development
- Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent across positions within the function
- Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team
- Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance functional knowledge
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION
- Minimum Qualification required: MBA (HR) - Full-time degree
- Other Qualification: BE/B.Tech (Preferred / Desirable) in addition to the above qualification
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 20-25 years of strong experience in Human Resources with an Automotive / Auto-Component / manufacturing Organisation.
- Experience of Human Resources function and its disciplines in a manufacturing set- up, preferably in automotive / manufacturing sector with multiple Plants across India - MANDATORY.
- Strong knowledge and good blend of HR and IR.
- Exposure to managing HR at a Corporate level for a footprint of manufacturing units / plants is Mandatory.
- Strong understanding of functioning of Manufacturing Industry from a Manpower composition perspective.
REPORTING
The Position reports to the Head HRBP- India Business and has Regional HR Heads reporting to it & Cluster / Plant HR Heads down the line.
RELOCATION
Outstation candidates will have to relocate to PUNE with family & will be eligible to avail the Relocation Policy benefits.
