Responsibilities

• Drive Health & Safety Initiatives involving employees across levels within organisation
• Conducts Health & Safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
• Monitoring of all plant activities w.r.t. safe work procedures and compliance of Health & Safety Standards
• Develop and execute health and Health & Safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
• Fixation of objective based KRA’s of Site Health & Safety Team
• Conduct training and presentations for health and Health & Safety matters and accident prevention.
• Preparation and submission of Health & Safety MIS on monthly basis.
• Periodically review the Health & Safety audit NCRs and ensure its compliances.
• 100 % Compliances of Health & Safety related legislatives & Health & Safety Polices.
• Ensure Mock Drills are being conducted on regular basis.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents.
• To implement & drive DISHA for Business transformation project.
• Assigning & Monitoring various fire prevention/firefighting duties
• Supervising fire-fighting operations and fire prevention arrangements for fire protection of the plant & day to day operation
• Ensure optimum performance of shift duties for fire prevention, firefighting duties
• Health & Safety Management System (SMS) Implementation.
• Ensure compliance of Health & Safety norms by contractors and contract workers
• Business Excellence Initiatives i.e. “5S”, IMS etc.
• Creating a Health & Safety Culture
  
  

Qualifications

Essential Qualification:

• Graduation Degree (Physics / Chemistry)
• B.E / B.Tech (Safety & Fire)
• Advance Diploma in Industrial Health & Safety
  
  

Desired Qualification

• M.E / M.Tech (Safety & Fire)
• Post-Graduation Degree (Physics / Chemistry)
• Advance Diploma in Industrial Health & Safety
• Sub-officer Fire Course
• NEBHOSH, IOSH certifications
