Key Responsibilities
- Finance Function Setup & Leadership
- Establish the Finance function from scratch including policies, SOPs, internal controls, and governance framework.
- Design and implement finance organization structure aligned with business objectives.
- Implement ERP, Loan Management System, and reporting infrastructure.
- Develop financial control framework and ensure operational efficiency.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on financial and business matters.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Develop financial models to support business strategy and growth.
- Monitor business performance including profitability, cost, and portfolio performance.
- Track key NBFC metrics such as NIM, Cost of Funds, ROA, and ROE.
- Present MIS, dashboards, and financial insights to senior leadership and Board.
- Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with:
- Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)
- Companies Act, 2013
- Reserve Bank of India NBFC guidelines
- Manage general ledger, provisioning, and loan book accounting.
- Ensure compliance with Expected Credit Loss (ECL) norms.
- Lead statutory audit, internal audit, and regulatory audit.
- Treasury & Fund Management
- Establish and manage treasury function including borrowing strategy and liquidity management.
- Raise funds from banks, financial institutions, and capital markets.
- Manage banking relationships and optimize cost of funds.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital adequacy.
- Ensure effective Asset Liability Management (ALM).
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with applicable NBFC regulations and regulatory filings.
- Monitor capital adequacy, leverage, and prudential norms.
- Manage regulatory reporting and filings with RBI.
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, and consultants.
- Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax, GST, and TDS regulations.
- Manage tax planning and optimization.
- Handle tax assessments, audits, and regulatory Chartered Accountant (CA) - 15+ years of relevant Finance experience
- Minimum 5+ years in leadership role
- Mandatory experience in NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services
- Experience in setting up Captive Finance or NBFC will be highly preferred
