Job Overview
We are hiring a Head Designer – Founder’s Office to work directly with the Founder/Principal Designer of our interior design and furniture manufacturing firm. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, ideal for a senior interior designer who understands the technical, executional, and managerial aspects of luxury interior projects.
The role combines design leadership, technical expertise, coordination, and client communication, and also functions as an extended Executive Assistant (EA) to the Founder for all design-related matters.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Leadership
- Lead interior design projects from concept to execution.
- Review and guide 2D drawings, 3D visuals, and detailed technical drawings.
- Ensure design accuracy, detailing, and execution feasibility across all projects.
- Maintain consistency in design language and brand standards.
Furniture & Manufacturing Expertise
- Strong involvement in custom furniture design and detailing.
- Review and finalize furniture drawings, materials, finishes, and construction methods.
- Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure design intent is accurately manufactured.
Founder’s Office & Coordination Role
- Act as the primary design point of contact for the Founder.
- Represent the Founder in internal meetings, client discussions, and design reviews when required.
- Assist the Founder in managing project priorities, timelines, and design approvals.
- Function as a design-focused EA to streamline communication and decision-making.
Team & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with 2D, 3D, design, production, and site teams to ensure smooth project flow.
- Guide and mentor designers and technical team members.
- Ensure inter-departmental alignment between design, production, and execution teams.
Client Communication
- Communicate directly with clients for design discussions, presentations, and approvals.
- Translate client requirements into clear design briefs and execution strategies.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and clarity in all client interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design / Architecture (Interior-focused role).
- 7–10 years of experience in interior design with strong technical exposure.
- Excellent knowledge of interior detailing, furniture manufacturing, and execution processes.
- Strong command over AutoCAD, SketchUp, and understanding of 3D workflows.
- Proven ability to manage teams, timelines, and complex projects.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written).
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
