POSITION: Head Designer – Menswear Couture (Luxury)
Brand: Mukti & Kavith Casa / Kavith Sainaani Handmade Luxury
Location: Thane (Founder office)
About the Role
This is not a conventional design role.
We are building one of India’s most distinctive luxury menswear houses—focused on redefining the modern groom and occasion wear.
We are looking for a Head Designer who does not just design—but thinks, leads, sells, and builds.
If your idea of design ends at sketches, this role is not for you.
What You Will Own
1. Creative Direction (Execution-Focused)
• Translate brand vision into commercially strong collections
• Develop silhouettes, concepts, and seasonal drops aligned with the modern Indian groom
• Balance innovation with sellability
2. Collection Development & Revenue Thinking
• Design with pricing, margins, and conversion in mind
• Build collections that move—from ₹50K to ₹2L+ categories
• Identify bestsellers vs showpieces and optimize accordingly
3. Product Excellence
• Fabric selection, trims, embroidery placements, finishing
• Deep involvement in fittings, sampling, and final production
• Ensure every outfit reflects luxury in fit and detail
4. Client & Styling Intelligence
• Understand groom psychology and occasion dressing
• Work closely with sales team for styling direction
• Occasionally interact with HNI clients for bespoke experiences
5. Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor senior and junior designers
• Build a high-performance design team
• Ensure timelines, accountability, and output quality
6. Marketing & Campaign Alignment
• Collaborate on shoots, campaigns, and content
• Design pieces that translate strongly into visual storytelling
• Work closely with marketing for launches and drops
L Who This Role Is For
• Someone with 5–8+ years in couture / luxury menswear
• Strong understanding of Indian weddings + modern silhouettes
• Obsessed with fit, detail, and finish
• Has a commercial mindset (not just creative)
• Can lead a team and take ownership
Who This Role Is NOT For
• Portfolio designers who only sketch
• Fashion week-focused creatives with no sales understanding
• Individuals who cannot handle pressure, timelines, and ownership
