Job Role Description The Head Dental Lab Technician is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai, responsible for leading and managing daily operations within the dental laboratory. This role includes supervising lab technicians, planning and coordinating workflow, and ensuring that all dental prosthetics, such as dentures and related appliances, meet quality, accuracy, and safety standards. The Head Dental Lab Technician will collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to interpret prescriptions, select appropriate materials, and oversee the fabrication, modification, and repair of dental devices. Additional responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment, enforcing hygiene and safety protocols, training team members, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong technical expertise in dental technology, and effective leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Dental Technology skills, including experience in designing, fabricating, and adjusting dental prosthetics such as dentures.
- Candidates should possess solid Dentistry-related knowledge to understand dental prescriptions, occlusion, and functional requirements of dental appliances.
- Candidates should possess advanced Laboratory Skills and experience working within professional Laboratory Technicians teams, including quality control and equipment maintenance.
- Candidates should possess specific expertise in Dentures, including full, partial, and implant-supported solutions, with a focus on fit, aesthetics, and durability.
- Formal qualification in Dental Technology or Dental Mechanics from a recognized institution is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role in a dental laboratory is preferred, with the ability to guide, mentor, and evaluate team performance.
- Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet clinical timelines.
- Commitment to workplace safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance, along with openness to adopt new materials and technologies.
