JOB DESCRIPTION
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) is the largest commercial ports operator in India accounting for nearly one-fourth of the cargo movement in the country. Its presence across 15 domestic ports in seven maritime states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Odisha presents the most widespread national footprint with deepened hinterland connectivity. The port facilities are equipped with the latest cargo-handling infrastructure which is not only best-in-class, but also capable of handling the largest vessels calling at Indian shores. Role Purpose
This role leads strategic and operational management for container terminal activities, berth window allocation, optimizing resources and enhancing performance. This role focuses on ensuring safety compliance, managing budgets, developing future talent, and implementing innovative technologies to drive efficiency and achieve operational benchmarks.
Responsibilities
Operational Planning :
Review operation plans and resource allocation (manpower, equipment) for container terminal operations, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Collaboration with Planning Teams:
Conduct regular reviews with the planning manager and documentation manager to enhance vessel and yard operations, ensuring alignment with operational benchmarks.
Performance Monitoring:
Review daily and vessel-wise operations performance and productivity, identifying gaps and taking corrective actions to enhance efficiency.
IMS Compliance and Safety:
Implement, monitor, and ensure operations comply with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, promoting a strong safety culture in all operations.
Technology Adoption:
Drive the development and adoption of technology and digital tools to improve operational efficiencies and streamline terminal processes.
Brand Positioning:
Ensure Adani's brand values are shown in all interactions. Strengthen relationships to boost the organization's brand and trust within the market and company.
Team Development:
Build a high-performing team. Set clear KPIs, track progress, and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success. Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital business success.
Digital mindset:
Champions a digital mindset within the organization to drive innovation and competitiveness. Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Educational Qualification:
Graduation/MBA/Master Mariner/B.Tech/B.E
Work Experience:
12-18 years relevant experience in Container Terminal.
Experience with Navis Terminal Operating Software is preferrable.
