HEAD - CAPITAL RAISING & FAMILY OFFICE RELATIONS
Location · Gurugram
Full-Time
Experience Required: 4–14 Years
Sàwai Capital is a structured real estate credit and alternative investment firm operating at the intersection of private credit and institutional-grade deal origination. The firm structures and deploys capital through instruments such as Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), inventory buyback facilities, and collateral-backed debt.
In a short span, Sàwai Capital has deployed over ₹700 crore across asset-backed private credit opportunities, with individual transactions typically ranging between ₹50–150 crore. The firm maintains an active pipeline of structured investments across real estate-led opportunities and select emerging sectors.
THE ROLE
Head - Capital Raising & Family Office Relations will be the firm's primary interface with the investor community. The candidate will be responsible for originating and closing capital by leveraging their existing relationships across Ultra-HNIs, Family Offices, and Institutional Investors and will own the fundraising strategy end-to-end: building and converting the pipeline, deepening investor relationships, designing the distribution architecture, and progressively building a team capable of executing at scale. Success Metrics in this role will be measured on capital raised.
KEY RESULT AREAS

- Drive closures across NCDs, structured credit, and alternate asset products
- Own the full investor journey from first conversation to signed documentation to capital receipt
- Report weekly on pipeline movement, conversion rates, and capital in-flow
Measured by: Capital raised (INR Cr) · New investor closures per month · Pipeline-to-closure conversion rate · AUM growth YoY
02 | Investor Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for all future investors
- Build trust at the level of the family principal, CFO, or investment committee
- Ensure all investors receive proactive, structured communication and not reactive updates
- Maintain a live CRM covering contact history, allocation history, preference profile, and opportunity mapping
- Drive reinvestment and product cross-sell within the existing investor base
Measured by: Investor NPS and qualitative feedback · Reinvestment rate · Single vs. multi-product depth · CRM completeness
03 | Distribution Strategy & Channel Development
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic distribution partners — RIAs, MFDs, family office networks, and wealth platforms
- Negotiate terms, compliance frameworks, and referral structures
- Build a dual distribution map: domestic (India) and NRI / global diaspora capital corridors
- Track and optimise channel-wise contribution to total AUM monthly
Measured by: Active distribution partners · AUM sourced channel vs. direct · New channels per half-year · Channel revenue %
04 | Team & Function Building
- Build and lead the capital raising function — define structure, hire selectively, and performance-manage with rigour
- Establish repeatable, documented processes for lead generation, qualification, onboarding, and retention
- Create internal playbooks that allow the function to scale beyond the individual
- Ensure full CRM hygiene, pipeline discipline, and reporting accountability across the team
Measured by: Team targets vs. set · Process documentation completeness · CRM accuracy · Hire quality and 12-month retention

03 | Product Fluency — Knowledge of structured credit instruments, real estate debt, or alternate investment products.
