Position Summary:
The Head Bancassurance is responsible for driving and scaling up insurance business across the various channels within the organization. He / She will be product lead for Group credit life and general insurance.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to integrate, scale, and grow the Life and General Insurance business within the organization.
- Drive maximum penetration of insurance products, including Life and General across customer segments.
- Ensure strict compliance with IRDAI guidelines and internal governance frameworks.
- Conduct regular governance meetings, reviews, and performance evaluations with internal stakeholders and insurance partners, as per business requirements.
- Ensure 100% adherence to defined sales management processes and control mechanisms.
- Collaborate closely with insurance partners to deliver best-in-class products, operations, and technology solutions, enabling seamless and simplified business execution.
- Liaise with insurance partners and cross-functional internal teams to design new processes and enhance existing workflows, including end-to-end IT integration and business process enablement.
- Closely monitor claims management and settlement processes, ensuring adherence to defined TATs and service levels.
- Lead the innovation and development of new insurance products tailored to varied portfolios and customer needs.
- Oversee reconciliation (Recon) management to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely resolution.
- Engage regularly with operations teams and branch networks to ensure smooth execution and consistent process delivery on the ground.
- Keep senior management informed on market trends, benchmarking insights, and insurance industry best practices.
- Partner with insurance providers to drive training initiatives, manpower support, product enhancements, technology adoption, cross-sell analytics, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- MBA from an Institute of repute.
- 10 + years of Total Experience.
- 5-6 years in similar roles with Zonal/National exposure having managed large portfolios across insurance & cross functional team.
- Should have micro finance industry exposure.
- Strong leadership quality | Good Business Acumen | Sharp Analytical skills |
- Ability to build a Team | Excellent communication skills.
