Role Description
We are looking for a full-time Accountant to join our team in New Delhi. This is an on-site role where you will be responsible for managing Philocaly’s financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the leadership team with accurate financial reporting and operational insights.
The Accountant will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, manage receivables and payables, handle statutory filings such as GST and TDS, and assist with payroll processing. You will also collaborate with external auditors and the company’s Chartered Accountant to maintain clean and organized financial records that support the company’s growth and operational discipline.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete books of accounts using Tally, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Maintain MIS.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, vendor payments, and collections.
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow reports, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance, including GST filings, TDS filings, and other regulatory requirements.
- Process employee payroll.
- Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants and auditors for audits, tax filings, and financial due diligence.
- Monitor cash flows and banking transactions, and assist in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
- Improve and maintain efficient accounting systems and financial controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or related field; CA Inter or similar certification preferred
2–4 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in retail, fashion, or consumer goods is a plus)
Hands-on experience with Tally, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of GST, TDS, payroll processing, and statutory compliance requirements
High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with vendors, franchise partners, auditors, and internal teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of financial processes
