Hiring: Head Accountant
Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai
Experience: 10–15 Years
Salary: Up to ₹20 LPA
Joining Preference: Immediate / Within 1 Month
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Head Accountant to lead and manage the organization’s accounting operations and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in accounting, taxation, audits, compliance, and financial management, along with the ability to lead finance teams and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules
• Record journal entries, accruals, provisions, depreciation, and accounting adjustments
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities efficiently and accurately
• Analyze financial data and prepare MIS reports for management decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and internal policies
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and handle audit documentation and queries
• Manage GST, TDS, income tax compliances, and statutory filings
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning
• Monitor accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and accounting transactions
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting systems and processes
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance team members
• Coordinate with banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Support management with financial insights, variance analysis, and strategic planning
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
• CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred
• 10–15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting
• Experience in handling audits, compliance, and finalization of accounts
• Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
Preferred Skills
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• IPO listing knowledge or listed company experience will be an added advantage
• Strong understanding of internal controls and process improvement
• Team management and mentoring experience
• Ability to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
