📍 We’re Hiring: Head — SteelBazaar AI Labs (VP Level) | Futurecom Technologies | Delhi NCR (Noida)
AI is transforming industries — but very few roles let you build the intelligence engine for an entire commodity ecosystem from scratch.
This is one of them.
SteelBazaar.com is India’s first AI-powered B2B steel marketplace, connecting manufacturers, processors, traders, and industrial buyers through a digital platform that replaces slow, broker-led workflows with data-driven execution.
We are now building SteelBazaar AI Labs — a dedicated division that will become the core intelligence layer of the platform. This is a greenfield, zero-to-one mandate with direct CEO visibility and full ownership.
The Role
As Head — SteelBazaar AI Labs, you will define what gets built, in what sequence, and with what team. You will own the end-to-end AI/ML roadmap — from research and architecture to production deployment and continuous optimisation.
This is a VP-level leadership role where you are not managing within a system — you are building the system.
What You Will Build
1. AI Matching & Recommendation Engine
A high-precision ML system that matches buyers and sellers across product specs, geography, volume, and trade context — the core revenue engine of the platform.
2. Market Intelligence & Predictive Models
Price forecasting, demand sensing, and arbitrage detection models that power a paid intelligence layer for platform members.
3. Domain-Specific LLM (Steel AI Analyst)
A fine-tuned LLM trained on steel standards, specifications, and trade workflows — deployed as a 24/7 AI assistant for users.
4. Agentic Automation Framework
AI agents that automate internal workflows — onboarding, data enrichment, activation tracking, and renewal prediction — reducing operational friction across teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and own the AI/ML architecture across matching, forecasting, NLP, and agentic systems
• Build production-grade AI systems — from model design to deployment and monitoring
• Develop RAG-based LLM pipelines with high accuracy and low hallucination risk
• Design agentic frameworks using LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar stacks
• Establish MLOps infrastructure: model serving, CI/CD, monitoring, and cost optimisation
• Translate business problems into AI systems with clear commercial outcomes
• Build and lead the AI Labs team (8–12 members) from scratch
• Set engineering culture: shipping mindset, experimentation rigour, and documentation discipline
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years in AI/ML with at least 2+ years leading production systems
• Proven experience building and deploying real-world AI (not just PoCs)
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and MLOps
• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking models, or predictive analytics
• Exposure to agentic frameworks and tool-calling architectures
• Strong advantage: B2B marketplace, supply chain, or industrial domain experience
• Demonstrated ability to hire, build, and scale high-performance technical teams
