Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the video editing team, ensuring high-quality and timely content delivery.
- Develop engaging video content for news, current affairs, social media and digital platforms.
- Oversee the complete post-production process, including editing, motion graphics, colour correction, sound design and quality control.
- Collaborate closely with editorial, production and social media teams to execute content strategies.
- Mentor, train and review the performance of video editors while maintaining creative standards.
- Stay updated with the latest editing techniques, trends and AI-powered production tools.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years of professional video editing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and other post-production software.
- Experience in digital news, media, broadcasting or content production is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing and platform-specific content.
- Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
