Role Overview
The head of Real Estate Investment Vertical will be a strategic leadership role responsible for building, managing, and scaling XRE’s investment advisory and transaction business. The individual will lead investment mandates end-to-end — from sourcing and underwriting to structuring and closure — while driving client relationships, investor networks, and revenue growth.
This role requires a combination of market intelligence, financial acumen, deal-making ability, and team leadership to position XRE as a trusted partner for institutional and HNI real estate investments.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Investment Deal Leadership
- Lead the complete lifecycle of investment deals — origination, evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and closure
- Manage investment across commercial office and retail assets
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of investment opportunities and investors
- Ensure seamless execution from lead generation to deal closure and post-transaction support
2. Investment Strategy & Business Growth
- Define and execute the investment vertical strategy aligned with XRE’s growth vision
- Identify emerging opportunities across asset classes and geographies
- Drive revenue targets and profitability for the investment vertical
- Develop new business lines such as portfolio advisory, JV structuring, and asset monetisation
3. Client & Investor Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices, HNIs, and developers
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on investment decisions and market positioning
- Lead investor presentations, pitches, and deal negotiations
4. Financial Analysis & Deal Structuring
- Oversee financial underwriting, including IRR, NPV, cash flow modelling, and risk assessment
- Structure complex transactions, including joint ventures, structured deals, and lease-backed investments
- Ensure thorough due diligence and compliance across transactions
5. Team Leadership & Execution
- Build and lead a high-performing investment advisory team
- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and mentor team members
- Coordinate with internal teams (leasing, research, legal, finance) for seamless deal execution
6. Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership
- Track real estate market trends, capital flows, and investor sentiment
- Position XRE as a thought leader in real estate investments through insights and reports
- Build strong brand visibility within the investment ecosystem
Key Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in real estate investments, private equity, or investment advisory
- Strong track record of closing high-value real estate transactions
- Deep understanding of Indian real estate markets (especially NCR)
- Expertise in financial modelling and deal structuring
- Established network with investors, developers, and funds
- Proven leadership and team management experience
