Role OverviewThe Head – Project Planning will be responsible for leading and standardizing project planning and control functions across all EPC projects. This role demands strategic leadership, strong expertise in planning tools, and the ability to drive execution excellence across multi-location, high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement company-wide project planning frameworks, systems, templates, and KPIs
- Lead project scheduling, monitoring, and forecasting using Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Drive Earned Value Management (EVM), cost control, and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure on-time delivery of EPC projects through robust planning and tracking
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Finance teams for seamless execution
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of planning engineers across multiple project sites
- Deliver accurate MIS reports, dashboards, and strategic insights to senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation in project controls
KRAs (Key Result Areas)- Establish and standardize planning systems and processes
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones
- Drive cost optimization and forecasting accuracy
- Strengthen cross-functional coordination
- Build and scale a high-performing planning team

Eligibility Criteria- Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E. (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation)
- Experience: 18–25 years in EPC project planning & controls
- Experience in large-scale, multi-site projects (₹4,000+ Cr)
Mandatory Skills- Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Hands-on experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Proven track record in multi-project planning & coordination
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications- Certifications such as PMP / PSP / NICMAR
- Experience in EPC sectors: Infrastructure, Power, Water, Oil & Gas
