Head – Products Design (Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems)Wenger & Watsonfull-timeRequired skillscomplianceend-to-endLightningtechnical supportAbout the role Wenger & Watson Website: wengerwatson.com Job details: Design & EngineeringLead end-to-end design activities for Earthing & Grounding Systems and LightningProtection Systems (LPS) in line with international standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, etc.).Review, validate, and approve detailed engineering designs, calculations, drawings, andtechnical documents.Provide technical expertise for complex and large-scale projects across industrial,commercial, and utility sectors.Ensure optimized and cost-effective designs without compromising safety, quality, orcompliance.Software & Technical ToolsUtilize and guide the team on CDEGS / ETAP software for grounding, earthing, and safetyanalysis (knowledge is a strong advantage).Ensure accuracy of simulations, soil resistivity analysis, touch & step potential calculations,and risk assessments.Team Leadership & ManagementLead, mentor, and groom the design team to build strong technical capability andownership.Allocate work, set priorities, monitor deliverables, and ensure adherence to timelines.Support skill development and continuous technical upskilling of the team.Sales & Customer SupportWork closely with the Product Sales and Business Development teams to provide technicalsupport during pre-sales and post-sales stages.Participate in technical discussions, customer meetings, and design clarifications to buildconfidence and trust.Support preparation of technical proposals, BOQs, drawings, and compliance documents.Cross - Functional CoordinationCoordinate with manufacturing, quality, project, and supply chain teams to ensure designfeasibility and smooth execution.Act as a technical interface between customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.Compliance & QualityEnsure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications.Maintain documentation, design records, and revision control as per company quality systems.To lead and manage the design function for Products BU - Earthing & Grounding Systems and Lightning Protection Systems (LPS), ensuring technically sound, compliant, and optimized solutions. The role involves close collaboration with Product Sales and Project teams to support customers, drive technical excellence, and strengthen the company’s market leadership.Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).10–15+ years of experience in Earthing, Grounding, and Lightning Protection System design.Strong exposure to global projects and international standards is preferred.Experience in an electrical manufacturing company or EPC environment is an advantage.Strong expertise in Earthing & Grounding and Lightning Protection System designKnowledge of CDEGS / ETAP (added advantage)Leadership and team management skillsCustomer-centric and solution-oriented mindset Click on Apply to know more.
