Role Description
- Own end-to-end procurement and inventory planning for local and international pet supply categories.
- Take complete responsibility for stock availability, preventing stock-outs and minimizing excess inventory.
- Decide reorder quantities, place, defer, pause, or cancel purchase orders based on demand and inventory health.
- Lead vendor negotiations, including pricing, MOQs, credit terms, lead times, and commercial agreements.
- Track and optimize landed costs, gross margins, and working capital efficiency.
- Monitor inventory ageing and proactively flag overstock or slow-moving SKUs.
- Lead liquidation and clearance strategies in coordination with sales and marketing teams.
- Evaluate and approve or reject new product launches based on commercial viability and inventory impact.
- Manage supplier performance, ensure timely deliveries, and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate closely with sales, finance, logistics, and warehouse teams for smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory data, procurement SOPs, and reporting through ERP systems.
- Improve overall inventory turnover, margin performance, and supply chain efficiency.
