AVPL International is a technology-driven organization operating in the Drone & UAV ecosystem, working across drone manufacturing, technology, training, and related applications.
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Management & Admin Head who can lead end-to-end supply chain, procurement, vendor management, logistics, inventory, and administration operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Drone/UAV industry, sound knowledge of drone technology and components, and an established pool/network of reliable vendors and suppliers.
Role Overview
The Supply Chain Management & Admin Head will be responsible for developing and managing a robust and cost-effective supply chain for AVPL's drone-related operations.
The person will be expected to build, maintain, and leverage a strong vendor ecosystem, ensure timely availability of critical components, optimize procurement costs, and ensure smooth administrative and operational functioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Procurement
• Lead the complete Supply Chain Management and Procurement function.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans.
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials required for drone manufacturing and operations.
• Manage the complete procurement cycle from requirement identification to vendor selection, negotiation, purchase, delivery, and quality coordination.
• Develop alternate sourcing strategies for critical components to minimize supply-chain risks.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, localization, and process improvement.
2. Vendor Management & Vendor Network
• Build, develop, and maintain a strong and reliable vendor pool across India and international markets.
• Leverage existing industry relationships to identify and onboard reliable suppliers quickly.
• Develop vendors for drone components, electronics, mechanical parts, batteries, motors, sensors, flight controllers, frames, payloads, communication systems, and other relevant components.
• Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, capacity, lead time, reliability, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, MOQ, lead times, and commercial agreements.
• Maintain a strong database of approved and alternate vendors for critical materials.
• Continuously identify new suppliers and develop alternate sources to avoid dependency on single vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance and take corrective action where required.
3. Drone / UAV Industry Knowledge
• Possess a good understanding of the Drone/UAV ecosystem and its supply chain.
• Understand the basic functionality and sourcing requirements of major drone components.
• Have knowledge of components such as:
o Motors & ESCs
o Flight Controllers
o GPS/GNSS
o Batteries & BMS
o Propellers
o Frames
o Sensors
o Communication/Telemetry systems
o Cameras & Payloads
o Electronic and mechanical components
• Work closely with R&D, Engineering and Production teams to understand BOMs, specifications, component requirements, and sourcing alternatives.
• Stay updated with developments in the drone industry, component suppliers, and emerging technologies.
4. Inventory & Logistics Management
• Establish effective inventory-control systems for critical components and finished products.
• Monitor stock levels, consumption, lead times, and reorder requirements.
• Minimize excess inventory, dead stock, material wastage, and stock-outs.
• Oversee warehousing, transportation, dispatch, and logistics operations.
• Ensure timely movement of materials between vendors, warehouses, manufacturing units, and project locations.
5. Administration & Facility Management
• Lead overall administration and facility-management activities.
• Manage office, warehouse, manufacturing/facility infrastructure, security, housekeeping, transportation, and other administrative services.
• Manage administrative vendors and service providers.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of facilities and operational locations.
• Monitor administrative budgets and optimize operational expenses.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and applicable statutory requirements.
6. Team & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and develop the Supply Chain, Procurement, Stores, Logistics, and Administration teams.
• Coordinate closely with R&D, Production, Engineering, Finance, Projects, Sales, and Management.
• Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics for procurement and supply-chain teams.
• Prepare and present MIS and management reports related to procurement, inventory, vendor performance, and logistics.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The best-fit candidate will:
• Have 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or related functions.
• Have strong hands-on experience in the Drone/UAV industry.
• Have a good understanding of drone technology, components, manufacturing, and the UAV ecosystem.
• Bring an established and extensive vendor pool/network, particularly for drone components and technology products.
• Have strong relationships with suppliers and the ability to quickly source critical components.
• Have experience managing procurement for electronics, mechanical components, batteries, motors, sensors, and other high-tech products.
• Have experience working with manufacturing, R&D, engineering, or technology-driven organizations.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation and cost-optimization capabilities.
• Have experience managing teams and multiple vendors simultaneously.
• Be highly proactive, commercially aware, and capable of building a scalable supply-chain ecosystem.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, or related specialization will be an added advantage.
