Job Purpose: Head - Ground Transport Business is responsible for the strategic oversight and overall management of ground transport operations across multiple airport locations. This role involves ensuring budgeted revenue is met and also develops new sources of revenue and managing the entire ground transport operations at airports ensuring maximum automation. The role also includes enhancing service quality, meeting business targets, and ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance while maintaining efficient, safe, and customer-centric operations.

Responsibilities

Strategic Revenue Generation:

Oversee and optimize revenue from parking, innovative products, and related services to maximize financial performance.

Effectively manage and minimize cost through strategic planning and continuous monitoring.

Identify and explore new business opportunities, such as dynamic pricing models, premium services, and loyalty programs, to enhance revenue streams.

Oversee Ground Transport Operations

Develop and implement long-term strategies for ground transport operations to ensure sustainable growth and efficiency.

Ensure efficient, reliable, and high-quality ground transport services by adopting best practices and innovative solutions.

Develop comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) for to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.

Safety And Compliance

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe environment.

Conduct regular safety audits and comprehensive training sessions to uphold safety standards and prevent incidents.

Stakeholder Management

Liaise with partners, clients, and contractors to resolve issues and manage service agreements effectively.

Build strong relationships with unions, regulatory bodies and local authorities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Team Leadership And Development

Encourage team collaboration and accountability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet organizational goals effectively.

Mentor and coach team members, identifying high-potential individuals and developing them into future leaders through focused development plans.

Digital Mindset

Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience in ground transportation services. This includes real-time tracking and monitoring of vehicle fleets and reducing wait times for passengers through automated dispatching systems.

Project & Risk Management

Oversee successful project execution and effective risk management strategies to ensure project goals are met.

Ensure smooth implementation of new services and business initiatives through careful planning and execution.

Qualifications

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Transport Management, or related field.

Preferred: Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).

Work Experience

15+ years in transport or logistics management, especially in ground transport services.
