At Colonel, we act as the outsourced CFO and strategic finance partner for some of the most exciting D2C and consumer brands in India. We go beyond accounting and compliance - we help founders make better decisions, raise capital, improve profitability, and build scalable businesses.
We are looking for an experienced Finance Leader who combines strong financial expertise with strategic thinking and team leadership. If you have worked in a high-growth D2C startup as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or CFO Office professional, this could be the opportunity to build something meaningful at scale.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to founders and leadership teams of leading D2C brands.
- Lead end-to-end finance operations, controllership, MIS, compliance, and financial planning.
- Build financial models, business plans, and strategic forecasts that drive growth decisions.
- Prepare companies for fundraising, investor interactions, and due diligence processes.
- Deliver actionable insights from financial and operational data to improve business performance.
- Design scalable finance processes and controls for rapidly growing businesses.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance team from 20–30 professionals to 50+ members.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience of 1-2 years in a D2C/Consumer startup ecosystem.
- Prior experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Lead, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of FP&A, MIS, compliance, business finance, and controllership.
- Experience with fundraising readiness, financial due diligence, and business planning is highly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to convert numbers into business decisions.
- Demonstrated experience managing and scaling large teams.
- A long-term builder mindset with an obsession for quality, ownership, and client success.
