- Role Purpose: To lead and oversee all corporate financial operations, taxation, internal audit, compliance, secretarial governance, and commercial functions. The role ensures financial integrity, risk mitigation, statutory compliance, and governance excellence, while also driving commercial effectiveness across sales, manufacturing, trading, and corporate service verticals. The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, enabling profitable growth, value creation, and stakeholder confidence.
Role & Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Control: Develop and implement corporate financial strategies aligned with organizational goals; Manage capital allocation, treasury, and working capital optimization; Ensure strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
Accounts & Reporting: Oversee consolidation of financial statements across all verticals; Drive timely closure of books, MIS, and annual reporting (Ind AS / Indian GAAP).
Taxation (Direct & Indirect): Ensure compliance with all tax laws (Income Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing, Customs, etc.); Optimize tax planning and manage tax litigation/assessments.
Internal Audit & Risk Management: Lead independent internal audit and risk management frameworks; Minimize risks and strengthen control environments.
Compliance & Secretarial: Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA, RBI, and other regulatory bodies; Manage Board meetings, AGMs, filings, and governance records.
Business Commercial Functions (newly added): Oversee commercial operations across all business verticals (sales, manufacturing, trading, services); Align commercial policies (pricing, credit control, contract management, margin tracking) with corporate strategy; Partner with Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing for cost optimization, vendor negotiations, and customer contracts; Drive profitability analysis and ensure P&L discipline across verticals; Standardize and monitor trade terms, dealer incentives, and channel commercial arrangements.

- Commercial Effectiveness:
- Receivable cycle days (DSO reduction).
- Contract adherence and margin realization.
- % achievement of targeted profitability by vertical.
- Treasury & Working Capital: Inventory days, payables, receivables, and interest cost.
- Governance: Timeliness of board submissions, filings, and disclosures.
- Business Partnering: Documented contribution to margin expansion and cost savings.
Performance Measurement Metrics
Quantitative
- Reduction in working capital cycle by X%.
- Reduction in overdue receivables by Y%.
- Timely completion of audits (≤90 days of year-end).

- Leadership feedback on quality of financial & commercial insights.

Key Decisions
- Approval of financial and commercial policies.
- Capital allocation and credit control frameworks.
- Appointment/selection of auditors, consultants, and commercial advisors.

Role Dimensions
- Turnover Managed: ₹2,000cr.
- Team Size: ~45–60 professionals (finance, accounts, audit, tax, compliance, and commercial).
- Geographic Scope: India-wide with International Business exposure.
- Regulatory & Commercial Interface: SEBI, MCA, RBI, Tax authorities, Statutory auditors, Dealers & Vendors.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory; CS preferred. MBA Finance desirable.
- Experience: 15+ years in corporate finance & commercial functions; at least 5–7 years in leadership roles. Experience in manufacturing + trading mix preferred.
