Role Description
The Head – Battery Asset Management & Technology is the organization's highest technical authority responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, performance optimization, lifecycle management, safety assurance, technology development, and continuous improvement of High Voltage Battery Systems across the entire electric vehicle fleet.
The incumbent shall establish world-class Battery asset management practices that maximize Battery life, enhance fleet reliability, ensure the highest standards of safety, optimize total cost of ownership, improve energy efficiency, and leverage advanced digital technologies for predictive and condition-based maintenance.
The role is responsible for transforming Battery management from a reactive maintenance function into a data-driven, technology-enabled strategic asset management program aligned with international best practices.

Lead ,mentor and monitor multidisciplinary teams comprising of Battery Management Executives, E&M engineers and staff cross all depots by setting performance expectations, driving a culture of safety and accountability, fostering innovation, overseeing succession planning, conducting structured monthly performance reviews, recognizing high performers, and ensuring continuous capability development aligned with organizational objectives.
Decision-Making Authority
The role is empowered to establish technical standards, approve Battery maintenance methodologies, recommend technology adoption, endorse procurement specifications, approve warranty strategies, initiate safety interventions, authorize Battery-related investigations, and recommend operational restrictions for buses with critical Battery safety concerns.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. A Master's degree in Electrical ,Electronics ,Electric Vehicle Technology is desirable.
Experience
- 15 years in Automotive, , Battery systems, or heavy vehicle engineering.
- At least 5 years in senior leadership managing large-scale Battery or EV fleet operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in lithium-ion Battery technologies, Battery Management Systems (BMS), predictive maintenance, Battery safety, digital fleet analytics, and multi-OEM environments.
- Experience leading geographically distributed technical teams and managing high-value asset portfolios.
