Role Overview
The Automotive vertical is a high-growth business within the Transportation & Mobility segment. This role is responsible for leading and scaling GCC engagements for North American and European Automotive OEMs in India.
The mandate includes end-to-end P&L ownership, client engagement at CXO level, delivery governance, and business expansion across Digital, Embedded, and Mechanical ER&D services.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L Leadership
- Own revenue, margins, and profitability across GCC engagements
- Drive growth strategy and ensure financial target achievement
2. Client Engagement
- Build and manage CXO-level relationships
- Position as a trusted advisor and thought partner
- Drive customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
3. Business Growth & Service Expansion
- Expand presence across Digital, Embedded, and Mechanical ER&D
- Drive solutions-led and managed services engagements
4. Delivery & Operations
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and delivery excellence
- Lead multi-location delivery across India
5. Capability Building
- Partner with technical teams to build future-ready talent pools
- Align capabilities with evolving client demand (SDV, EV, etc.)
6. Innovation
- Drive “Prove Locally, Scale Globally” initiatives with R&D teams
7. Leadership
- Build and mentor high-performing sales and account teams
- Foster accountability, ownership, and collaboration
Scope
- Focus: GCCs of North American & European Automotive OEMs
- Excludes: Indian OEMs (Tata, Mahindra, Eicher, Bajaj)
Candidate Profile
- 15–20+ years experience in Automotive ER&D / IT Services
- 5–7+ years in P&L leadership roles
- Proven track record of closing large deals and driving growth
- Strong experience with Automotive GCC ecosystem in India
- Deep domain expertise in:
- Software Defined Vehicles (SDV)
- Embedded Systems / AUTOSAR
- Digital + Mechanical ER&D
- Strong CXO relationships within Automotive GCCs
Key Requirements
- Must be based in Pune or Chennai
- Must have personally closed deals (not just managed accounts)
- Must come from services organizations only
- Must have sales + delivery + P&L leadership experience
- Should be seen as a strategic advisor, not just a salesperson
