About Fintoo
Fintoo is a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser and a fee-based financial planning firm offering holistic financial planning, investment advisory, global investing and tax advisory services. Our philosophy is simple: planning comes before execution, and client interests come first. We combine professional advice with technology to help individuals make informed financial decisions and work towards their life goals.
Your Mandate
You will be accountable for building Fintoo’s Bengaluru advisory business across four dimensions: business growth, advisory excellence, client relationships and team leadership. You will lead from the front, personally engage with key prospects and clients, establish a predictable business pipeline and create a high-performance culture focused on ownership, ethical advice and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Building & Revenue Ownership
• Own the Bengaluru business plan, revenue targets, growth strategy and profitability.
• Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for affluent professionals, HNI clients and other relevant customer segments.
• Build a predictable pipeline through referrals, professional networks, chartered accountants, corporate relationships and strategic alliances.
• Personally lead key client conversations, business negotiations and high-value conversions.
• Manage the customer journey from prospecting and discovery to financial planning, paid engagement, onboarding and long-term advisory.
• Identify growth opportunities, improve conversion ratios and strengthen revenue productivity; present forecasts and quarterly plans to senior management.
2. Wealth Advisory & Financial Planning Excellence
• Champion a planning-led, fiduciary and client-first advisory approach.
• Understand clients’ goals, income, liabilities, risk profiles, liquidity needs and investment horizons to support comprehensive financial planning. • Ensure recommendations are appropriate to clients’ circumstances and objectives, supported by suitable documentation and disclosures.
• Drive holistic financial planning and long-term advisory relationships rather than transactional, product-led selling. • Lead periodic portfolio reviews, goal tracking and proactive client engagement, working with research, investment, product and technology teams to improve advice quality.
3. AUA Growth, Client Retention & Relationships
• Grow AUA sustainably through appropriate client acquisition, retention and deeper advisory engagement.
• Convert paid financial planning customers into ongoing advisory relationships wherever appropriate.
• Improve renewals, referrals, customer lifetime value and relationship longevity through consistent service and demonstrable advisory value.
• Establish client segmentation, engagement frequency, review and escalation frameworks.
• Personally manage key relationships and strategic prospects where senior-level engagement can accelerate business outcomes.
4. Team Leadership & Organisation Building
• Lead an initial team of six professionals across relevant advisory, relationship management and business development responsibilities.
• Set clear KRAs, revenue goals, productivity benchmarks and accountability mechanisms.
• Recruit, coach and develop professionals with financial planning capabilities, client orientation and commercial acumen.
• Build a high-performance culture based on ownership, collaboration, integrity and continuous learning.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, pipeline reviews and capability-building initiatives; identify and develop future leaders.
• Scale the team in line with approved budgets, business growth, revenue productivity and demonstrated performance.
5. Business Planning, Analytics & Profitability
• Translate annual objectives into actionable quarterly and monthly plans.
• Track revenue, conversion ratios, paid customer acquisition, AUA growth, client retention and individual productivity.
• Identify performance gaps early and implement corrective actions.
• Balance growth investment, acquisition costs, team capacity and profitability.
• Build dashboards and repeatable processes that support scale without compromising advisory quality.
6. Technology & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Partner with product and technology teams to improve advisory workflows, customer experience and advisor productivity.
• Use digital tools, analytics, automation and AI-enabled solutions to make financial advice more scalable and accessible.
• Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns, financial education and lead generation.
• Work with operations, finance and compliance teams to ensure efficient execution and robust governance.
• Share market and customer insights to inform advisory products and business strategy.
7. Governance, Ethics & Client Trust
• Uphold Fintoo’s fiduciary, fee-based and client-first advisory philosophy.
• Ensure activities comply with applicable SEBI requirements, internal policies and ethical standards. • Maintain high standards of client suitability, documentation, disclosures and transparency.
• Ensure business targets never compromise the quality or integrity of financial advice. Key Performance Indicators
• Revenue & Profitability: Achievement of revenue targets, contribution margins and sustainable growth. • AUA Growth: Growth in Assets Under Advisory through suitable acquisition, retention and deeper engagement.
• Paid Customers: New paid customers and improved prospect-to-customer conversion.
• Client Retention: Renewals, relationship longevity, referrals and client engagement.
• Team Productivity: Revenue per professional, target achievement, pipeline quality and overall team performance.
• Business Development: Strength of referral networks, strategic partnerships and qualified pipeline.
• Advisory Quality: Financial plan quality, suitability, documentation, service standards and compliance.
• Operating Efficiency: Acquisition costs, servicing efficiency and progress towards agreed profitability targets.
What We Are LookingFor
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory or a related BFSI business.
• At least four years of demonstrated experience leading teams and delivering measurable business results.
• A proven track record of building a business, acquiring clients and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of comprehensive financial planning, investment advisory, asset allocation and relationship management.
• Experience working with affluent professionals and HNI clients, with the ability to build credibility and long-term relationships.
• Commercial judgment, analytical ability and ownership of business performance.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, motivate and scale teams in a growth-oriented environment. • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
