Data Analyst & Data Engineer Intern

As a Data Analyst & Data Engineer Intern (SDE Level) at HCDS Technologies, you will be working on analyzing and engineering millions of units of data, processing data streams, and developing insights that help to make informed business decisions. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity for third-year and fourth-year undergraduate students to work on cutting-edge technologies and enhance their skills in data analytics, data engineering, and cloud platforms. Professional Duties & Responsibilities: Data Analysis: SQL: You will use SQL to query and manage large datasets, clean and prepare data for analysis, and generate meaningful insights. Understanding complex SQL queries, joins, and aggregations will be essential to performing efficient analysis. Power BI: You will create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI. You will design interactive reports and data visualizations that provide business stakeholders with actionable insights. Advanced Excel: Use Excel to perform advanced data manipulation, pivot tables, data analysis, and visualization for quick decision-making support. Excel functions like VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, conditional formatting, and others will be key tools. MongoDB Atlas: You will be working with MongoDB to store and query unstructured data. Understanding NoSQL databases and optimizing queries for performance will be crucial to handle the scale of data that will be processed. Data Engineering: Data Pipeline Development: You will assist in building and managing data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of data. Using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and workflows will be part of your routine responsibilities. Azure Cloud Services: Working with Azure Cloud for managing and processing large-scale data using various services like Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Factory. You will leverage cloud storage and compute resources to scale data operations. Azure AI Services: The internship will offer you the chance to apply AI/ML techniques using Azure's AI services, integrating machine learning models into data processing workflows to enhance predictive analytics and automation. Commercial Role: As an intern in this commercial role, your key responsibility will be to leverage your technical skills to enhance business processes. You will analyze data for commercial insights, trends, and forecasts that can help shape decision-making at HCDS Technologies. You will work alongside the data science and business teams, transforming raw data into digestible insights, influencing business strategies and operations. You'll also be working on optimizing processes for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The role will involve reporting on key performance metrics that drive business performance, and you will be responsible for preparing detailed reports that provide actionable intelligence to different business units.
