Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an HCC Medical Coder and Auditor located in Hyderabad. The professional in this position will be responsible for accurately coding patient health information, adhering to industry coding standards such as HCC and ICD coding guidelines. The role includes reviewing and analyzing patient medical records and documentation for completeness, auditing coding work for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure clear documentation and proper code usage will also be part of the day-to-day duties.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Coding and strong knowledge of medical coding standards, including HCC, ICD, and CPT coding.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology and Health Information Management practices to ensure accurate record review and documentation.
- Possession of professional certifications such as RHIT or equivalent qualifications in coding and health information fields.
- Experience in coding with attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance in medical documentation.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to perform audits and provide constructive feedback.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards in the healthcare industry and experience with risk adjustment methodologies is a plus.
