Position Summary
The Housekeeping / Common Area Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and welcoming atmosphere of our housing facilities. This position focuses on maintaining shared spaces and ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including lounges, hallways, lobbies, and kitchens
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors regularly
- Clean and restock restrooms
- Clean up spills promptly and safely using appropriate tools and materials
- Notify management of maintenance or repair needs
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Assist residents and guests in a friendly and helpful manner when needed
- Keep linen and supply rooms organized and stocked
- Clean upholstered furniture according to guidelines
- Clean resident rooms following departure
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Strong time management and self-motivation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment
- Professional appearance and positive demeanor
- Friendly, dependable, and hardworking
