Tech Lead

*Role Title: Technical Lead*

*Fully Remote - UK*

We're hiring an experienced technical leader with a passion for solving complex problems and empowering teams to build innovative systems. This role involves working on high-scale, high-impact challenges that require strong technical direction and leadership, within a scaling organisation.

You’ll play a key role in evolving our core technology stack, contributing across multiple languages and frameworks, and ensuring the long-term maintainability and scalability of our systems.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience leading teams in end-to-end delivery of full-stack applications
• Skilled in managing both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and mentoring others in engineering best practices
• Proficient with modern web frameworks (e.g. Rails, Django, or equivalents)
• Experience operating and scaling large systems, with a focus on observability and reliability (e.g. SRE practices)
• Ability to model complex business logic into clean, maintainable code, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating technical risks
• Solid foundation in computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms

Additional Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Proficiency in lower-level languages (e.g. C, C++, Rust)
• Exposure to real-time or near real-time streaming systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis)
• Familiarity with image and video processing tools (e.g. OpenCV, FFMPEG)
• Experience with cloud-native deployment and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Experience working within a start-up/ scaling organisation.
