About the Role

As a Product Manager – EMR, you will lead the design, strategy, and execution of next-generation healthcare applications — including electronic medical records (EMR) and direct-to-consumer platforms. You’ll collaborate with clinicians, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure product-market fit, regulatory alignment, and technical excellence.

This role requires a strong foundation in product management within healthcare tech, a working knowledge of AI/ML integration, and a deep appreciation for clinician and patient user experience. You will report directly to the Director of Technical Product Management and help guide product vision and roadmap decisions for HatchWorks’ healthcare platform clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute product roadmaps in alignment with business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility.
• Lead feature prioritization, backlog grooming, and user story definition across 1–2 delivery teams.
• Gather insights from clinicians, engineers, and data teams to inform decisions and keep stakeholders aligned.
• Drive integration of AI/ML features, predictive analytics, and telehealth services into the product ecosystem.
• Collaborate across engineering, UX, and clinical teams in agile ceremonies and cross-functional planning.
• Provide subject matter expertise in EMR systems, healthcare workflows, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Apply data-driven decision-making to roadmap planning, iteration, and feature evaluation.
• Support go-to-market activities and ensure a smooth rollout and adoption of new features.
• Advocate for a user-centric experience, partnering with design and research to deliver intuitive UI/UX for clinicians and patients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in healthcare or health tech.
• Proven experience working with EHR/EMR platforms, healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7), and regulatory environments (HIPAA).
• Experience with SaaS product development and cross-functional collaboration in agile settings.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, API ecosystems, and AI/ML integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, ambiguous product requirements and translate them into clear, actionable strategies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data compliance, patient privacy practices, and security protocols in regulated industries.
• Technical Skills
• Experience with AI/ML-enabled product features and telehealth platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern DevOps practices.
• Understanding of product analytics, KPI tracking, and data-informed roadmap development.
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, and collaboration platforms like Slack and Google Workspace.
• Experience with healthcare standards: FHIR, HL7, TEFCA, Carequality.
