Job Summary / Overview: 

Hatched serves a client base of sophisticated hedge funds - primarily long/short equity strategies - headquartered in New York and London. As our data and tools evolve, delivering value in-life (after the sale) becomes more important than ever. 

We’re looking for a Client Account Executive to strengthen our approach to client retention and expansion. This role will support the co-founder leading the Client Team in building deeper relationships with current clients, ensuring renewals are seamless, and spotting high-leverage opportunities for cross-sell and upsell. In addition, this person will provide research and organizational support for prospective client targeting and conference preparation. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and commercially curious - with a drive to build systems and structures that help clients get more value from our products. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Existing Client Growth & Retention 

  • Design and implement a system to manage in-life client engagement, focused on maximizing subscription value 
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell based on client behavior, fund activity, or new product releases 
  • Monitor and track renewal dates; own the renewal process and ensure no opportunities slip through the cracks 
  • Develop ideas and initiatives to deepen client relationships and maintain engagement 

 

New Client Acquisition Research & Support 

  • Create and maintain detailed fund briefings using a mix of internal data (CRM etc.) and external sources (Whale Wisdom, LinkedIn, etc.) 
  • Devise a standardised template/process for efficient briefing generation and updates 
  • Collaborate closely with co-founder to strategize outreach plans and entry points for target accounts 
  • Manage timelines and ensure timely delivery of insight to support sales strategy 

Conference and Client Meeting Support 

  • Partner with the Marketing team to coordinate required materials for upcoming conferences and key client meetings 
  • Identify high-value prospects and help secure meetings with them 
  • Prepare briefing packs for founders, ensuring they are fully informed on the client/prospect’s background and recent activity 
  • Track and coordinate all post-conference follow-ups to keep momentum going 

 

Required Qualifications / Experience 

  • 2+ years’ experience in a client-facing, operations, or account support role - ideally within finance, data, or SaaS 
  • Strong organizational and research skills; able to synthesize information quickly and communicate it clearly 
  • Comfortable working with CRM tools, LinkedIn, and data sources like Whale Wisdom 
  • High attention to detail, with a bias toward action and ownership 
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills - able to work fluidly with senior stakeholders 

 

Reporting Line 

  • Reports directly to co-founder, who leads the clients and sales efforts. 
  • Works closely with the Marketing and Product/Data Analytics teams
