This is a summer 2026 position
Overall Responsibilities:
- Assess and repair small engines, golf carts, and vehicles in an accurate and timely manner.
- Meets or exceeds Member service expectations.
- Works well with other team members.
- Adheres to Hart Ranch Camping Resort Employee (HRCR) Handbook and Employee Safety Manual.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The Mechanic Will:
- Identify cause of basic vehicle and equipment failures; order parts perform repairs as required.
- Diagnose and repair small engine, golf cart, and vehicle systems including flushes, oil changes, etc.
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with HRCR standards.
- Provide accurate labor and time estimates for vehicle repairs.
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to Members and staff.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay abreast of rapidly changing technology.
- Interact with staff and Members to properly determine nature of complaint.
- Provide support to other functional areas of the Maintenance Department.
- Maintain professional housekeeping standards including tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Perform and track HRCR equipment and vehicle maintenance.
- Order, stock, organize, maintain and assist with parts inventory. Perform inventory of parts at beginning (May 15), middle (July 15), and end of season (October 15).

Requirements
Minimum of 18 years of age. Must be a motivated self-starter. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed. Hold a valid state driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
