About the role
Overview
The Shipping Clerk will support the Frozen Warehouse Manager with keeping goods moving into and out of the warehouse
Job Responsibilities
- Support manager with day-to-day management of shipping schedule;
- Run reports and provide status updates as requested;
- Check in truck drivers and route to specific loading lanes or to dropped trailers in the yard ready for collection;
- Print product pick lists and shipping labels for warehouse team;
- Support manager with all administrative activities related to shipping function including but not limited to creation of bills of lading, stock transfer orders, invoice/billing, scheduling or rescheduling deliveries, communications with retail partners, corporate team, or carriers regarding loads;
- Completes forms and documents timely;
- Assists with audits;
- Perform other required tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Ability to plan and communicate frequently;
- Ability to follow direction;
- Great written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel);
- Advanced Excel skills preferred;
- Ability and desire to learn/use our ERP system;
- Critical thinking and the ability to problem solve/troubleshoot challenges.
