Role Description The Hardware Store Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Jodhpur. This role oversees daily operations of the hardware store, including inventory control, stock ordering, and ensuring timely availability of hardware materials for furniture production. The supervisor coordinates with production teams, manages vendor relationships, and monitors material quality, labeling, and storage. Responsibilities include supervising store staff, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, updating records in inventory systems, and preparing regular reports on stock levels and usage. The Hardware Store Supervisor also supports process improvements to reduce material shortages and optimize costs.
Qualifications
- Strong inventory management and stock control skills, including tracking, documentation, and reconciliation.
- Experience in store operations or warehouse supervision, ideally within manufacturing or furniture production.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, with effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory or ERP software.
- Knowledge of hardware materials and components used in wooden, iron, marble, leather, and inlay furniture is an advantage.
- Proven ability to lead and guide store staff, delegate tasks, and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and strong problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies and urgent requirements.
- Relevant diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred; previous experience in a similar role is highly valued.
