Role : Full Time, Onsite (Bangalore)
Experience Required : Interns and Freshers/Recent Grads (Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineers - Full Stack : Hardware + Software) with 0-2Yrs hands-on experience.
Must Have Hands-on Skills (do not apply if you don't have the below skills, resume will not been reviewed)
- Mechanical + Core Electronics
- At least 100+ hours of 3D Design (Fusion preferably) & 3D Printing (FDM) experience
- IOT and Embedded (Arduino & Sensors, STM boards, LoRA, GSM/GPS, IMUs etc)
- Hands-on knowledge of ROS2, Gazebo, URDF (must have built some working robotic/ mechatronic prototype hardware - not just simulation)
Good To Have Skills
- PCB Design and Fabrication hands-on skills
- Hands-on experience with flight controllers, Power distribution boards, battery management system
- Advanced fabrication skills like CNC machining (3-axis or 5-axis) Sheet metal forming Carbon fiber composite fabrication
Key Responsibilities (Research & Development - Engineering) :
1. Mechatronics R&D & Rapid Prototyping
- Assist in the design and development of robotic systems (bipedal robots, manipulators, ornithopters, bionics).
- Hands-on experience in Core electronics, embedded systems and firmware development (STM32, ESP32, IOT Sensors)
- Assist in wiring, testing, and integrating microcontrollers, power systems, drivers, and sensors.
- 2 and 3 Layer PCB prototyping skills (EasyEDA or KiCad)
- Using 3D Design and 3D Printing skills for rapid prototype development
2. Robotics, Control Systems and Simulation
- Implement and tune PID and model-based controllers for robotic actuation.
- Work with simulators such as Gazebo, Webots, Isaac Sim, or custom simulation environments.
- Perform kinematic, dynamic, and structural analysis to validate designs.
- Implement ROS1/ROS2 nodes, topics, services, and actions.
- Integrate sensors (IMUs, encoders, force sensors, cameras) and actuators (servos, BLDCs, ESCs, linear actuators).
- Develop URDF/SRDF models and integrate them into simulation.
3. Impact - Make In India, Viksit Bharat Mission, Future Innovators
- All GiftdMinds Engineers dedicate 15-20% of time and effort mentoring some of the brightest young minds - GiftdMinds students (age 10-15yrs) with hands-on advanced R&D research and practical skill development in the field of Space-Tech, UAVs, Mechatronics, Robotics, EVs and beyond.
This is what we'll be building at GiftdMinds currently. The selected candidate will be working on one of these based on his/her skill-set level, hands-on experience and knowledge depth.
1. In house 3DPrinter with 3D Laser cutting swappable rig
2. 12 inch, collapsible, Dobsonian Telescope with automated star tracker
3. RC Plane with FPV + Head tracking camera control
4. Autonomous Unmanned Underwater Vehicle UUV / ROV (Submarine) and Swarm Drones
5. A Disney BDX droid like bipedal Robot
6. A solid motor amateur (COTS and SRAD), sounding Rocket with target apogee of 10Kms
7. A Radio and Satellite communication Ground station for HAM Radio, geo-stationary, FM satellites, International Space Station (ISS) and Radio Astronomy
